Modern King James Version

New American Standard Bible-- updated 1995 NASB
Recognizing the values of the American Standard Version, The Lockman Foundation felt an urgency to preserve these and other lasting values of the ASV by incorporating recent discoveries of Hebrew and Greek textual sources, and by rendering this version into more current English. Therefore, in 1995 a new translation project was launched, based on the time-honored principles of translation of the ASV and KJV. New American Standard Bible with Strong's Numbers
Strong's Exhaustive Concordance lists every significant word in the Bible and references each word to the original Hebrew and Greek languages used by the writers. The concordance was first published in 1890 by Dr. James Strong. His life's work was to provide students of the Bible with an accurate and functional tool to understand the language of God. He and others worked on the list over a period of 35 years without the aid of technology as we know it today. Dr. Strong's work has stood the test of time and is still recognized as one of the essential aids to studying the Bible by people all over the world.

We have embedded the updated 1995 NASB database with dictionary reference numbers based on Strong's system. The text is from the NAS Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, as published by the Lockman Foundation. This will be a separate product, not an upgrade to the standard NASB

New Living Translation (NLT)
1996 saw the completion of Dr. Taylor's and Tyndale's revision of The Living Bible. The New Living Translation took nearly eight years to complete and involved the work of more than 90 respected scholars from various theological backgrounds and denominations. In keeping with Dr. Taylor's vision of Scriptures that "every plowboy" can read, the New Living Translation is "exegetically accurate and idiomatically powerful."
